Adoption of Amendment No.1 to Temporary Local Planning Instrument 01/2017 (Dual Occupancy)

Notice is hereby given under the Planning Act 2016 that on 17 April 2018, Toowoomba Regional Council adopted Amendment No.1 to Temporary Local Planning Instrument 01/2017 (Dual Occupancy) (TLPI 01/2017).

The Amendment No.1 to TLPI 01/2017 will commence on 23 April 2018. This TLPI will cease to have effect on 4 December 2018 or when proposed Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme Amendment No.16 comes into effect, whichever occurs first.

The purpose of this amendment for TLPI01/2017 is to achieve better location and design standards for dual occupancy development in all residential areas of the region. By extending the application of the TLPI to include land within the Township Zone.

The Amendment No.1 to the TLPI applies to the whole of the Toowoomba Regional Council planning scheme area.

The TLPI 01/2017 (included Amendment No.1 changes) is also available for inspection at the office of the Queensland Department of Infrastructure, Local Government & Planning
