Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise

The Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) is an independent, business driven, advocacy organisation focused on linking business with opportunity and ensuring the region enjoys sustainable economic growth into the region.  As a united voice for the region, TSBE lobbies all levels of Government on the issues that are important to local business and the community and works to help position the region with advantage to capitalise on opportunities.

Investment attraction and facilitation are an important part of the TSBE charter and promoting the region effectively to Australia and the world is a priority.

Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning

The Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning plays a critical role in leading a statewide, coordinated approach to infrastructure, planning and development whilst ensuring a sustainable future for Queensland communities. In relation to economic development the department is the champion of Queensland's industry and business. It has the lead role in industry development for the state, including increasing the economic contribution of strategic supply chains, improving local suppliers' performance in accessing market opportunities and attracting and generating new industry investment.

Local Chambers of Commerce

The local Chambers of Commerce is an association of local business owners who meet regularly to discuss common issues, concerns and opportunities within their own forums.


The Australian Trade Commission, Austrade, is the Australian Government's trade and investment development agency and helps Australian businesses of all sizes, across all sectors, to succeed in international trade and investment. Operating through a global network of offices in over 50 countries, Austrade offers practical advice, market intelligence and ongoing support to Australian business. At the national level Austrade share global commercial insights with other areas of government. At the industry/sector level, Austrade works closely with business, industry and governments. At the individual enterprise level, Austrade delivers services, programs and initiatives to help Australian businesses and attract foreign investment.

Regional Development Australia

Regional Development Australia (RDA) is a partnership between Australian, State, Territory and local governments to strengthen regional communities. The national network of 55 committees is made up of local leaders who volunteer their time to work with government, business and community groups to support the development of their regions. They build partnerships to develop strategies and deliver sustainable infrastructure and services to their region.

Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations

The Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) is the lead government agency providing national leadership in education and workplace training, transition to work and conditions and values in the workplace. DEEWR works in collaboration with the states and territories and is committed to providing easy and informative access to services and support programs and works directly with clients and stakeholders. DEEWR provides access to online services and information, guides to employment information, government assistance, jobs, careers, training, working conditions and Indigenous Employment Centres with direct access to JobSearch and Careers.


AusIndustry is the Australian Government's principal business program delivery division in the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and is committed to delivering business services that build on three key drivers of economic growth - innovation, investment and international competitiveness. AusIndustry offers both entitlement and concession programs. For grants-based programs, customers compete for limited funds, based on the merits of their application.
