Crates on Wheels travelling schools' biennial exhibition 2017

Following a very successful 2015 tour, the biennial Crates on Wheels travelling schools’ exhibition will be once again held in 2017.

Every two years the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery tours part of its collection to schools in the Toowoomba region. This initiative nurtures the careers of emerging artists from South East Queensland and provides students in the Toowoomba region the opportunity to engage with contemporary art practice through educational outcomes.

The 2017 travelling exhibition will feature selected artworks from this year’s Toowoomba Biennial Emerging Artists Award Exhibition.

In addition to the tour, participating schools are invited to exhibit their students’ artworks made in response to the Toowoomba Biennial Emerging Artists Award Exhibition at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery.

For more information or to register interest in hosting the Crates on Wheels 2017 exhibition at your school, please contact us and ask for the Coordinator Education Programs, Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery.
