Clifton - Elsie Jones Park
Address: 2 Alden Street, Clifton QLD 4361
Clifton's Elsie Jones Park is a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy the outdoors, while improving your fitness at the park's exercise station.
At its Alden Street entrance, the park welcomes visitors with a picnic shelter that covers a sturdy table and two long bench seats. Toilets are conveniently located nearby.
If you are a basketball or skating enthusiast, then you're in luck! Elsie Jones Park has a basketball half-court and dedicated skate area, along with playground equipment for the littlies to enjoy.
Another feature of Elsie Jones Park is the pathway that connects Kate and East Streets.
Council has recently completed works at Elsie Jones Skate Park. With Clifton currently in the midst of an extremely dry period and, therefore, with a need to conserve water, turf has not been laid around the skate park. Skaters and riders are asked to keep off the earth embankments as much as possible until the turf is laid.
The Skate Park is scheduled to reopen the week commencing 4 March 2019.
