Field closure information is current as of the date below. Updates occur when field status changes. If a facility is closed on a Friday it will remain closed over the weekend. Please check with your individual sporting body regarding alternative training/competition times and venues.

Field status updated 17 December 2018:

Please Note:  Although we have deemed grounds open, it is still the responsibility of club officials e.g. umpires and referees to determine the safety of the grounds prior for use, especially in the event of wet weather. We can provide no guarantee that damaged sports grounds will be repaired by the next game or within the current season of the respective sport.

We reserve the right to withdraw the use of its sports ground to a user group who causes excessive and/or repeated damage to sports fields due to training or play during or after wet weather conditions.

We have a responsibility to ensure all sporting fields are maintained to a standard for the duration of the playing season. At times, during inclement weather, we have to close the fields to ensure they are in the best playing conditions for the remainder of the season. Fields can also be closed for maintenance.

Considerations

The decision to close a field is not taken lightly. The responsible officer takes into consideration the soil structure, drainage, how far into the season we are and how the field will stand up under play if they are to remain open. All sporting clubs are considered at the time of closure however, we cannot be held responsible for any loss of competition or training days.

If a field has been closed no activities are to be undertaken until such time the field is reopened.
