Clifton Museum replacement

The town and surrounds of Clifton has established itself as a historic centre with attractions such as classic homes and streets, Rudd's Pub, Sister Kenny Memorial Park, Southern Downs Steam Railway and number of museum collections. To this end Council is keen to support local community groups to house collections and establish this as a regional attraction.

A key contributor to this has been the Clifton Historical Museum - previously located in Council's building in King St, Clifton (the former Butter Factory). This building was condemned in December 2016.

Council has committed $100,000 in the 2018/19 financial year to construct a new building to enable the housing of historical collections.
