Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) park upgrades and renewals

East Creek parklands - Kitchener Street

With hundreds of parks located throughout the region, an extensive upgrade and renewal program is required each year to ensure these community assets remain relevant.Some parks will benefit from new recreation and play opportunities while others will receive upgrades to meet changed standards and population growth. Below are some of the current projects:

Oakey Corridor Linear Park upgrades (Cory St Park, Rotary Park, Gordon Park, Cherry St, Arthur Shooter)

2019/20 budget: $104,000

Start date: July 2019.

Completion date: June 2020.

McMahon Park, Gowrie Junction

2019/20 budget: $75,000

Start date: July 2019.

Completion date: June 2020.

Clifton district parks upgrades (Elsie Jones, Clifton Rec Reserve, Pioneer Park and Bethal Green)

2019/20 budget: $72,000

Start date: July 2019.

Completion date: June 2020.

Gold Park, South Toowoomba

2019/20 budget: $21,000

Start date: July 2019.

Completion date: June 2020.

Pittsworth district park upgrades (Bridgman Oval, Lions, Apex, and Rotoract parks)

2019/20 budget: $20,000

Start date: July 2019.

Completion date: June 2020.

Kingsthorpe Linear Corridor Park (Rosalie Walk and Settlers Park)

2019/20 budget: $19,000

Start date: July 2019.

Completion date: June 2020.
