Toowoomba bulk water supply - Dam pump stations & mains

Perseverance Dam pump station

A number of projects are planned for the Toowoomba Bulk Water supply dams (Cooby, Perseverance & Cressbrook) and supporting infrastructure. The aged water pump stations and raw water mains to the Kynoch Water Treatment Plant will be upgraded.

Cressbrook Dam pump station switchboards

This project continues from last financial year to replace the Cressbrook Dam pump station switchboards. Originally installed in the 1980's this infrastructure requires upgrade to meet current standards and to ensure the continued and reliable operation of this essential component of Toowoomba's water supply network.

$2 million has been allocated to the project for the 2018/19 financial year.

Start date

July 2017.

Target completion date

Design, supply, installation and commissioning of the switchboard installation is expected late 2018, subject to contractor timelines.

Perseverance Dam station pumps and switchboards

Aged and damaged pumping infrastructure at Perseverance Dam will be replaced and upgraded.

Expected to cost $7 million in total, this project is staged over a number of years to deliver the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of this key infrastructure. $2 million is included in the 2018/19 budget.
