The unique landscape of Goombungee and surrounding areas will be celebrated in an exhibition to be displayed at Goombungee’s Rosalie Gallery from October 16 to November 10, 2024.
I Love Goombungee! channels the charms of the Goombungee area that have been created by Toowoomba Region artists.
The exhibition features artworks ranging from photography to landscapes and textiles. There is a work for everyone to enjoy.
The exhibition is a testament to the power of art in expressing identity and celebrating the character of small, close-knit communities.
It invites visitors to discover quiet laneways and the residents who live there, the purple haze of Jacaranda-lined streets, and the deep connection to local places and spaces that reminds us to relish the moment.
Exhibiting artists include Jeanne Cotter, Ava Englund, Lynda Georgeson, Robyn Gray, Bruce Griffiths, Amy Knie, Barbara Manuel, Sue Metcalfe, Luke Odonnell, Rebecca Pointon, Nadine Reynolds, Barbara Stephenson and Diana Vogel.
The Rosalie Gallery will be open from 9am to 3.30pm on Jacaranda Day, Saturday, November 2, 2024.
