A public safety camera trailer is available for movement throughout the region as part of our City Safe program. The trailer can be moved on short notice to designated hot spots in response to community safety concerns in areas where the existing City Safe camera network doesn't have coverage.
The trailer can also be deployed at major events e.g. Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.
The footage from the trailer is monitored through our City Safe program.
How long footage is kept
Live footage is kept for 14 days before it is written over due to storage requirements. Footage that is requested and approved for extraction is kept for 7 years in accordance with the Public Records Act 2002.
Who can apply for footage
Footage can be supplied to:
- Queensland Police Service
- Toowoomba Regional Council
- Other local/state government agencies
- Solicitors (acting on behalf of a client)
- Individuals (with either a Queensland Police Service charge sheet, a notice to appear or other supporting documentation)
