The following cycleway projects have been funded in the 2022/23 budget.
The Barracks Road cycleway project is an extension of the principal cycle network along O'Brian Road (from Kraztke Road to Reis Road) and along Barracks Road to the Highfields Sport and Recreation Park.
$200,000 has been allocated in the 2022/23 budget for design and planning. Construction is expected to be completed in 2025/26.
This project is to construct a new 22-metre long single-span fibre-reinforced composite pedestrian bridge over West Creek along Alderley Street.
$300,000 has been allocated in the 2022/23 budget for construction.
Construction commenced in May 2022.
July 2022.
The West Creek (Pierce Street to Alderley Street) cycleway project is the extension of the principal cycle network along West Creek from City Golf Club to Alderley Street.
$50,000 has been allocated to the project in 2022/23. Design work for the project is in progress with construction expected to commence in June 2023.

The West Creek (James Street to South Street) cycleway project is the extension of the principal cycle network along West Creek from the new James Street underpass through to South Street.
Concept and design work for the project is in progress with construction expected to commence in 2023/24. $20,000 has been allocated to the project in 2022/23.
2023/24
A new off-road cycleway along Kitchener Street (from Margaret Street to James Street) has been identified as the next link in the principal cycleway network to be constructed.
$20,000 has been allocated in 2022/23 to undertake concept and design work.
