When applying for a development approval, there are fees which must be paid at the time of lodgement. Council’s Planning and Development Group Cost Recovery Fees & Charges can be found here.

Application fees are a mandatory part of lodging a development application and as such, they must be paid at the time of lodgement.

2024/2025 Fees and Charges

The 2024/2025 financial year brings significant changes to the Fees and Charges for the Planning branch. Most of the fee types will now have categories of Minor, Standard, Large and Major. All impact assessment fees are a simple 1.5 multiplier of the code assessment fee. There has been substantial testing and benchmarking to ensure the fees align with Council's obligations to charge on a cost-recovery basis. Any errors to the fee schedule can be reported to Council's Technical Advice Officers on 131 872.
