Toowoomba has a rich cultural history and some of this history can be found in the homes and streets in the Region.

Council seeks to conserve and enhance this history through the planning scheme by applying the Heritage and Neighbourhood Character overlays within these areas.

Any property owner who owns a piece of Toowoomba’s history in these areas may be subject to additional requirements for building or developing their property.
