Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has today endorsed more than $340,000 to be injected back into the community through Round One of the 2023/24 Community Grants Program.
55 applications were successful in obtaining funding across the seven funding schemes including Sport and Recreation, Event Support, Community Economic Development, Sports Tourism, Environment, Cultural and Arts Support and the Community Support Grant programs.
TRC Environment and Community Portfolio Chair Cr James O’Shea said the 55 successful applications totalling $342,884 would assist a variety of groups across the Toowoomba region.
“The TRC Community Grants Program is an important way for Council to support community groups, sporting club and not-for-profits with projects and initiatives which benefit the wider community.

“Council has been working hard behind the scenes to assist clubs and community groups with their applications and I thank and acknowledge Council’s teams in this regard,” Cr O’Shea said.
