Seniors are important to our community in many different ways. We provide a range of older persons’ development services across the region.

Events

We deliver a range of activities for seniors throughout the year, including; bingo, trivia, concerts and craft activities. See the events register for details.

Rebates

We offer a pensioner rebate on Council rates if the owner of the land is a pensioner and is eligible for the State Government pensioner remission.

A pension discount is also available for dog registration. To be eligible for a discount on your dog registration you must have one of the following:

• a current Queensland Centrelink Pensioner Concession card, or
• a Veterans' Affairs gold card.
